Introduction

'Health is wealth' is a common phrase used by nearly every other man. In today's era health issues are rising high. Every family has some disease or another. Some families have a family history of Thalassemia and some have a history of Jaundice. Diseases are more common in today's era than the former. This is mainly because of the advancement, enhancement and development of the industrial sector. Development of the industrial sector portrays to be beneficial for the income of a country and hence its personal development, but it causes serious health issues. Many people have died of various diseases.

Pollution causes a major contribution to health problems. Huge industries tend to dump their wastes in either the sea or rivers. The water from the sea and rivers can never be completely purified even if it made to undergo sterilization more than once or twice or even more than three times (Chatburn, 2011). The water eventually becomes the drinking water for many. Hence water pollution has a direct effect on humans and animals. Unhygienic water carries a lot of diseases with it. It estimated that more than 4500 people worldwide die every day due to water borne diseases. Apart from this eighteen percent of all deaths in Liberia are due to poor, unhygienic water uptake.

Discussion

Water borne disease is any illness caused by the intake of water contaminated by industrial dump or human or animal faces that contain pathogenic microorganisms. Over the past few decades, water related health issues have become increasingly comprehensive. A wide range of new diseases has come into existence due to water issues.
