Jacob and Wilhelm, in this poem demonstrate the dominance of men over women, and women are ordered by men. It was also evident from the tale that the dwarfs only allow her to stay with them as she will take care of them. Grimm brothers stated “The dwarfs said if you will take care of our house… you shall want for nothing” (p.128).
