Learning approach that emphasizes the ability to learn through observing a model or instruction, without which the learner has experience firsthand (Morris, 1997).

Social learning theory attempts to go beyond consideration of human behavior in response to stimuli that did behaviorism. The learning behavior always occurs, according to this theory, in a social context.
