This paper provides overview of socioeconomic inequalities with specific groups or communities in United States and how their rights are violated. Current policies related to socioeconomic issues and injustice in U.S. society.Social Inequality

The term “social inequality” refers to the situation when individuals and groups in a society do not enjoy the equal social status. Social inequality occurs when different categories of people are identified and then positioned differently to have an access to health, wealth, education, housing, political representation, participation etc (Walker, 2009). Social inequality arises when everybody do not have equal opportunity to access the resources. Social inequality means different group of people differentiated from other groups when it come facilities like health education, housing e.g. blacks in United states are highly discriminated when it comes to social equality.

Blacks in United States are the ones who are highly discriminated and they do not have equal opportunities to education, health, housing etc. This discrimination is changing the dynamics of society because this practice has made blacks angry and they involved in crimes. Without having access to basic necessities blacks relieve their frustration by committing crimes.

Economic Inequality

United States have a high level of economic inequality. If we look at wealth distribution, the wealthiest 1 percent individuals accounted for 21 percent of all income in 2005 (Auken, 2007), moreover, if we accumulate the wealth of 1 percent richest Americans their wealth accumulated to $16.8 trillion, $2 trillion more than the combined wealth of lower 90% population. Similarly inequality in education, housing, health is also increasing day by day. To fulfill their individual and family needs they involve in criminal activities and crime rate is increasing continuously.

Economically, blacks are poor and they do not have access to quality education, health, housing, transportation etc (Yeboah, 2011). Unemployment rate is also high in blacks as compare to blacks which is again the reason for their poor economic condition. Again this factor plays an important role in transforming young blacks towards crime which is bringing inequality in society.Political Inequality

The extent to which citizens have an equal voice over governmental decisions refers to political equality (Verba, 2011). Every citizen should have the freedom of speech. He should have right to the government about specific issues. Every citizen should have the right to protest against the negative policies of the government. In United States citizens do not have equal political rights (Verba, 2011). Government do not listen the voice of citizens when they protest. Some time it is also happened that government neglect certain community and give preference to others. When it comes to political equality again blacks are the ones who suffer a lot and, again face discrimination. Since its inception United States have only one black president i.e. Obama, moreover, there are only two black Supreme Court judges in the in the history of United States So it is a pure form of discrimination that blacks are totally neglected when it came ...
