How CSR is useful to this organization in terms of environmental aspects?

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a concept that integrates voluntary social and environmental concerns into business operations and in their relationships with partners such as customers, suppliers and employees. In terms of environmental aspects CSR is very useful to Texas Disposal Systems as it is not a very big company within the waste management industry of Texas, and competitors such as Waste Management Inc. and Republic Services Inc. have expanded aggressively. Therefore, for Texas Disposal Systems to save itself from hostile acquisitions and maintain as well as grow its market share needs to increase the awareness in the target market regarding its presence and it mission too. Therefore, as highlighted in the case study in the last 40 years the corporate philanthropic contributions have doubled and also that it has been discovered by companies that CSR increases public goodwill and revenue, Texas Disposal Systems needs to focus and invest more on CSR as sustainable development and environmental concern are primary pillars of CSR.
