Use of Social Theory for Studying Sociological Issues In Sport

The modern period of development sociology FCC marked by numerous, complex sociological research. They aim to identify the facts of the functioning and development of physical culture and sports, as well as their impact on personality formation, determining the criteria of physical, human culture.

In sociology, the FCC as an emerging science is currently being reviewed existing approaches to evaluating the significance of sport in modern society. New socioeconomic conditions of society have set for sports and the sporting movement problems of formation of other value orientations, behavioral patterns, meanings, lifestyle, and whole new strategy and priorities in this field (Esping 1999, 386).

One significant problem is the formation of sociology FCC evaluative attitudes and personality to physical culture and sports lifestyle. It is equally important to study the problems of individual athlete, and its behavior during active sports, and after athletic career. With the commercialization, and professionalization of the sport is particularly important to examine issues relating to the formation of moral behavior athlete. New economic conditions pose the problem of relations between the two social institutions: the coach and athlete, working on the final result of sports, which today are not only expressed in meters, Scoring draw, seconds, and fees, prize money and other financial incentives. As shown by real events, monetary rewards athletes fairly solid.

Should not be ignored problems of social adaptation of athletes to live in society after the end of a career. Even the sport's elite does not always have favorable conditions for integration, as it often happens that an athlete can perform well only what he studied all his life: to run fast, jump far, winning medals for the glory of the Fatherland. How to avoid a crisis, to protect athletes from psychological breakdowns, to help ensure his dignity after a career it is also the most important problems of contemporary sociology FCC.

One of the most pressing social problems is the revival of youth sports and schools to attract students into their ranks. Often their parents because of the low-material status cannot afford to buy sports uniforms for training, not to mention other financial expenses.

The logic of sport requires the study of sociological problems, like "sports and youth," "Sports and progress", "sport and humanism," "sport and personality." In solving these problems sociology, FCC should play an important role, proving once again the necessity and importance of this science for the development of society and the improvement of man.
