A successful marriage is more than just a contract which binds a man and woman to social and legal rights and obligations to each other. Textbooks define the success of marriage based in the similar factors of commitment, respect, family ties, romance and enthusiasm.

During several years, there has been an increase in the rate of youthful marriages. Beside they may face attendance irregularities because the family affairs increase. However, married students experience some promising features as well. They get continuous support from their spouse related to studies.

The marital satisfaction is highest at the early days of marriage. This is the period when the spouses are getting to know each other better. The first child brings joy and strengthen the emotional ties of marriage, but it also brings more financial responsibilities (Schnarch2009).

During the early period of marriage, couples face various marital adjustment problems. For instance, developing routine, trusting each other, meeting expectations, and coping with communication and personality differences. Out of these the most difficult is the issue of managing the personality differences.

Marriage life becomes challenging when the spouses have different career paths. They have to support each other's careers as well as go through the issues of while juggling childcare, housekeeping, and their close relationship.

Flexibility is most important when spouses work. For example if the child is sick, one of the partners will have to decide who stays home and who should attend the job.

Material resources help in sustaining the relationship to some extent. A loving, and enthusiastic relationship is nothing if the basic necessities of life are not fulfilled. Financial security is a significant factor of success here. It does not mean for the spouse to be rich, but the resources should be well enough to satisfy today's needs (Rainey2007).

Question 8- Welfare reform

The reforms should be increased for the married couples instead of single parents. This will promote marriages. This program will encourage the formation of two parent families and promote work and job training at the same time.

An open and suggestive communication environment was practiced by the parents. It helped in instigated the habit of sharing and discussion. The same practice is worthy to be applied to the children, so as to bring them closer to the family.
