Introduction

Human endeavors in the field of science have helped the scientists to excel greatly. Among all those, few landmark achievements have been seen throughout the 20th century in the field of Space Exploration. Many countries, throughout the 20th century, made landmarks in sending objects to the outer space and studied the movements of nature that influences the life on Earth. The procedures have helped us to improve our standard of living by improvising the scientific procedures of conducting our day to day work, and to help our knowledge base regarding the atmosphere behind the skies. Out of all the achievements made by the astronomical scientists, the biggest has been the movement of human from the surface of Earth to the outer space. The movement of the human race into the outer space has influenced the lives of all the citizens living on this globe. The advancements in the space technology have generated new horizons for young individuals in order to explore the world around them. The event has influenced education, employment, research fields, and technology.

Discussion

Space Exploration is the phenomenon of extracting knowledge about outer space by the help of astronomy and space technology (space-exploration.org). It was initiated by the Russian federation and the United States of America in the mid 20th century (Glifford, 2005). At the very early phases, larger rockets were sent to the outer space to see and understand the space above the skies. The exploration process touched heights when in early 1960's first human being was sent to the outer space. The space exploratory research centers kept on increasing the technology to move human beings into the outer space, resulting in the human landing on the Moon in the year 1969. Since then, quite a few projects, by both USA and Russia were sent to Moon and the other outer spaces, including the man-made satellite, and the satellite, pioneer 4, for orbiting the Sun (Glifford, 2005). However, the event that created history and changed the lives and thinking capabilities of many was of man travelling through the outer space and ultimately landing on the surface of earth's natural satellite, the Moon.

The Space Exploration by human beings during the decade of 1960 had several impacts on the lives of the people, their education and career choice, and the global community as a whole.

Influence on personal life

The movement of man into the outer space has had several impacts on my personal life. It has increased the curiosity of getting knowledge of a universe that is far out of our reach, but still can be captivated through several scientific procedures. The event has given a broad spectrum for me to think about the advancements one can achieve, and has an inner motivation in itself regarding the achievements one can attain.
