Specific Infant and Toddler Disorder- Tay-Sachs Disease

Tay-Sachs Disease

Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of “Specific Infant and Toddler Disorder” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “Infant Disorder” and its relation with “Tay-Sachs Disease”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “Infant Disorder” and tries to gauge its effect on “Tay-Sachs Disease”. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for “Specific Infant Disease” and tries to describe the overall effect of “Tay-Sachs Disease” on “Infant”.

Introduction:

Tay Sachs disease (TSD) is one of the most threatenting re degenerative neurological disease origined by absence of the enzyme hexosaminidase A (HexA).The most ordinary shape of the disease is deadly in infancy or early childhood. There is at present no heal or effective treatment.

The disease caused severe deterioration in physical and mental capacity of child that usually results in death of child near about at the age of four. The disease is considered to be defected genetically which is inherited from parent. The disease functions in a way which first integrates large quantities of gangliosides that build up in the nerve cells of brain, resulting in pre-mature death of those cells (Assadi, Basemen & et al, 2008).

Tay-Sachs Disease:

Tay - Sachs disease is a exceptional genetic disease, which increasingly destroys the brain and spinal cord nerve cells (neurons). In Thailand, and Goldman Sachs to become the most common disease in infancy obvious. Babies suffering from this disease usually appear until 3-6 months of age, when their growth slowed down and weakened muscles used properly. Loss of the affected infants, such as turning over, sitting, crawling motor skills. They also develop an exaggerated startle response to loud noise. As the disease progresses, and Tay - Sachs epilepsy experience, vision and hearing loss, mental disability, paralysis of the child. Exception known as cherry eye red, with an eye examination revealed the characteristics of this disease. This serious Tay - Sachs disease is usually for children, infants and young children only live to early childhood education.

Scientists have revealed the genetic transformation accountable for the mature form of Tay-Sachs disease, a rare, degenerative brain chaos most frequently seen in its infancy form.

Childern with Tay-Sachs undergo progressive psychological and motor corrosion, with indications that differ from stammering and falling to depression, schizophrenia and premature death. But adult Tay-Sachs is not ...
