Personal Statement

A number of professional organizations and associations offer individuals promising opportunities for career and growth. In U.S., professional organizations help individuals in advancing their careers like education, health, naval services and psychology. I have always been interested in Naval Services. With my interest in the naval services field, it is a requirement to begin my first goal which is to become an affiliated Naval officer with the American Naval community. I want to be a naval officer because I believe as an Naval Officer I am able to help the overall Naval community as a whole and in different ways rather than just who I work with. My grandfather was always a role model to me as I was growing up, and is still a great inspiration for where I want to be in life. Having served twenty-seven years in the United States Army, he retired as Command Sergeant Major. As a Vietnam and Korean War veteran, he served our country honorably and led me to where I am today. I believe that being a part of a military family shaped me to be a more structured and organized individual.

I want to be a Naval Officer because I believe that I possess that difference to make that mark in our country & Navy as an influential leader. I joined the Navy to be a part of something better and I can say that it has been one of the best decisions I made in my life. Other influences that made me want to become a naval officer is always being around the greatness of them. All the Officers I have worked around have done nothing but stellar things for their enlisted and officer community and I believe that as a naval officer I will rise to this calling. ...
