Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of “Stable Middle East” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “Stable Middle East ” and its relation with “World Economy”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “Stable Middle East ” and tries to gauge its effect on “World Economy”. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for “Stable Middle East” and tries to describe the overall effect of “Stable Middle East” on “World Economy”.

The Middle East has been an area of interest to the world as the birthplace of three monotheistic religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, (which have made important contributions to human progress.) Judaism and Christianity, referred to as the religions of the Book "by Muslims, was the basis for the development of Western culture (Cordesman & Haddad, 2011). The distinctive doctrines forged in Judaism were perpetuated in Christianity and therefore, incorporated into the Western culture to Islam, religion youngest of three, was founded by the Prophet Muhammad in Arabia. Mohammed was born in Mecca in 570 to a merchant family of the tribe of Al-Quraish. When he began to teach the faith of Islam in Mecca in 610 AD, it began to flourish, but met with no resistance from the poor but the rich and the rich, because the Prophet's teaching includes the rich must share their wealth with the poor and needy (Alan & John, 2008).

Islam has contributed to the fields of social justice, economic justice, culture, and law. The Islamic concept of law and order based on morality and justice in society. After its birth in the present Saudi Arabia, Islam spread to Spain and other regions of the world, bringing the knowledge of the values of modernity and Muslim who were useful in helping a society to function effectively (Cordesman & Haddad, 2011). Expansion continued, and as Hillman (2003) pointed out, Christianity was replaced by Islam and Arabic in Latin by the Romanized areas, by 714 AD the whole of Spain and Portugal, except for a small independent state in the Northeast were in Arab hands. Then the Arab advance North ran out. Although the Arabs continued to press towards the arid north to set up temporary colonies, which never attracted by the climate of central and northern Europe. Hillman (2004) further noted that the direct influence of the Arab / Islamic culture in Western Europe, therefore, limited to Spain and Sicily (Alan & John, 2008).

One of the major global concerns about the Middle East is its strategic location in particular the Gulf region. It is a gateway to the east and close to Russia. For more than a century, the imperial ambitions of Russia under the Czar and the Commissioner have been directed at obtaining a foothold in the Persian Gulf.
