Falcon Engineering Works is a midsized engineering and manufacturing company that works as a Government contractor. As a Director of the Human Resources Department, I would plan the following steps for developing a staffing plan according to the organization's recruitment, selection, and on boarding processes.

Process of Recruitment, Selection and Recruitment

At present, the staff selection techniques in Falcon Engineering Works have to be more subjective and more refined. This would help determining the requirements of human resources of the company, increasing the effective sources to enable qualified candidates and evaluating the physical and mental potential of applicants. The ability to work using a variety of techniques including interviews, psychometric tests and medical examinations etc. are also evaluated (Ulrich, 2006). A right person for this company is usually the one with experience, attitude and training for each particular job, is also an honest employee ethical conduct.

Job Profile

Job Profiles are required for deducing the potential of possible candidates. A vacancy is like a lacking in the workforce that must be filled. Thus, opting the best possible candidate for each and every department in Falcon Engineering Works is an important requirement. The newly created position is notified to the recruitment department, which then takes steps to start the recruitment process. An organization must be efficient enough to hire a new person to fill the vacancy as soon as possible. This ensures that the current workforce is not overburdened and also streamlines business operations.

Selection

This process is not only to accept or reject candidates if not knowing their skills and talents in order to place it in the post more to its characteristics. On the basis that everyone can work.

Internal Recruitment

Internal recruitment is the process of hiring a person from within the organization. It can also be called promoting a person to higher ranks. This is not only cost saving for Falcon Engineering Works , as no advertising cost, recruiting and interviewing cost has to be incurred, but it also benefits the organization as the person promoted already has sufficient knowledge about the organizational operations and environment.
