Introduction

American popular culture has all the time been a market for sales. Everything that is and has made pop culture what it is in America has been constructed through commercialization. The proficiency to sell the major product and then the countless other revenue items that proceed with that product characterize American culture. Today in the United States an individual would be hard-pressed to penalize a video displaying in theaters that does not have a soundtrack out, t-shirt even activity figures that proceed along with it. So where did this concept of marketing out arrive from? It's Simple, Star Wars.

Thanks to the cultural leverage of George Lucas' Star Wars there is not a controller in Hollywood that doesn't gaze to money in through other types of video sales.
