STARTING A BUSINESS ONLINE-PART 2

Online business transactions are increasingly becoming a common e-commerce trend, due to the current globalize business environment. E-commerce is the term used to define online businesses or transactions generally, but one of the biggest concerns that consumers have in utilizing the popular scenario is security (Kalakota & Whinston, 1996). Since websites can be accessed by any number of people, it is important to realize that some of these people might come with the intention of gathering customer related information for their own websites. E-commerce has been a significant tool in the promotion of global trade, but has also managed to highlight internet hacking and security concerns in business transactions.

Selling this domain name can have several disadvantages, even if a business has moved on. In online buying communities, developing and building trust is very important since customers are likely to be wary of fraudulent websites and offers. Since they are trusting an online retail store with their personal information, even their financial details, that information is permanently on that domain.

In the past, this has led to individuals suing online organizations. The integrity of those business owners will be compromised and they will not be able to form business relationships in the future. Customer loyalty will diminish as well, since the original domain host has willingly sabotaged the safety of their customer's personal emails and other information.

Furthermore, the fineprint in the terms and conditions of online retail has always guaranteed safety of personal privacy and security of customers, thus if a domain name is sold legal implications might arise. In the age of the internet, where every single bit of information put up online is valuable, an online business can easily be effectively started. Since the reach of a website or a blog is much more diverse and spread out than the print media, it is more than likely that in the current business environment, an internet business operation might do better.
