Stereotype: Prejudice has lingering effect

Introduction

Indeed, it's part of human nature that all stereotypes establish or have been stereotyped. One cannot describe, to generalize, to judge people very quickly, but life is much more complex than that. We also have stereotypes to prescribe identities, as in the case of women, and you can expect a certain type of conduct, have to act as mothers, housewives, and when they do not expose themselves to the punishment of society. A man also punishes society when not acting in accordance with the stereotype of being the suppliers of support at home. If men want to stay home and care for children, society disapproves. This means that when we act in reverse to stereotypes or gender norms arises a social disapproval of such conduct. We thus establish stereotypes to describe, to prescribe and also to label people, to designate them as "other." When people are different from us, what we do is mark their "otherness", the label, the back different. This is a prejudice and malicious action. We do it because we judge them different from us, and to deal with them put them in boxes negative (Crawford, 2010).
