I have chosen the organisation that is Tesco PLC and their strategic human resource practices. Tesco Fresh & Easy in the USA is Tesco's newest and most ambitious international organisation. Yet it is fraught with difficulties, which has worried analysts and investors alike, since it opened its first store in November 2007. Fresh & Easy's poor financial performance reflects its poor performance as an employer. This report assesses Tesco's employment performance in the USA throughout the past three years, and compares its practices contrary to its asserted policies and principles. It finds that the UK's premier retailer declines well short of the measures it groups for itself (Tesco, 2010, pp. 45-55). The report presents demonstrations of how yield and benefits manage not agree up to the company's rhetoric and how the company seems, on reason and systematically, to have worked to impede all endeavours by employees to request union acknowledgement and the USA's largest private-sector union to enlist with it. The employment practices of Fresh & Easy in the United States are in stark compare with Tesco's asserted policies on human privileges, and it's set about in the UK, where Tesco has been unionised since 1969.
