Introduction

The main purpose of this essay is to make an analysis on the statement that “We see in the world many examples of sets of human activities related to each other so that they can be viewed as a whole” (Cook, 1999, p. 381). This paper discusess the extent to which the above mentioned quote is being used by companies so use its intellectual capital effectively. The paper makes an analysis on this issue by making discussion on the concepts like knowledge management/environment, intellectual capital and social capital, communities of practice and soft system thinking. The paper makes the foregoing analysis by choosing an organisation. This paper will highlight the intellectual capital importance and this is an influential essay. This influential essay will also study the scope of human actitivies in understanding intellectual capital importance. This paper main scope is to gain the knowledge that how the interrelated human activities help an organisation to make utilisation of intellectual capital. In order to conduct a research on the knowledge about the issue that how the interrelated human activities help an organisation to make utilisation of intellectual capital, I have used both the qualitative and quantitative methodologies.

Discussion

There is a great role of the human capital or we can say that the interrelatedness of the human capital is very necessary for the organisations. It helps in effective management of the intellectual capital. Intellectual capital has its ordinary meaning as the human capital; therefore, for any company, it is necessary that its human capital should be managed properly. If the human capital of the firm is good and interlinked with each other, this means that the firm can better manage its intellectual capital. According to Desouza (2003), an organization, whatever its scope, manages resources. These resources have implementations in order to produce goods or services and include conventional buildings and other securities and financial reserves (p. 63). The accounting and financial management in an organization monitors and controls financial transactions. The researcher has selected few main points to be discussed in this paper. These points include what is knowledge management or environment? what is intellectual and social capital and what are the current practices of orgrnaizaiton and it will also put light on the soft sytem thinking.

According to Gottschalk (2002), the statement about the interrelation of human activities, so that they can be viewed as a whole in a very good depiction of these four key areas (p. 50). The above mentioned four areas very clearly prove the concept of the statement, that the whole world has its basis on the interrelation of human activities in order to be viewed as a whole.
