In order to determine the strategic positioning of CRH we have to define the five external factors which affect the CRH.

Economic factors that affect CRH include the nature and direction of the national economy in which a company does business.

Social Beliefs and Attitudes

Humans are conditioned to respond to different stimuli in unique ways. Whether it is through the general culture, family units, education, or religion, we are trained to react positively to certain things and negatively to others (Carrigan, 2000). These social beliefs and attitudes have a wide impact on CRH.

Politics

There are several issues that affect the CRH including fair-trade decisions, antitrust laws, taxes, wages, and other government activities designed to protect different classes within society (Collett, 1999).

Technology
