It has long been known that the strategy of targeting is only our own strength, but not effective in modern business, where the success of each business unit depends on the well-being of many other organizations. The most successful companies such as Wal-Mart or Microsoft, not just occupy a ready-made ecological niche, and create such a niche around them, but forming new forms of economic life and new business models, which is initially adapted to the needs of this particular organization. At the same time, most companies have to settle for the existing ecosystem, created not by them and not for them. There are among those ecosystems are poor, similar to the Arctic desert, and rich, reminiscent of tropical forests, there are long-lived, existing for decades, and those whose lifespan is determined by the time required for devouring fallen from a piece of food.
