The norm that I planned to violate in this experiment is talking too much. When someone will ask me how I was, I will not be replying in general sense to that person. Instead, I would tell that person the story of my entire day. This is considered as violation of the social norms as well as violation of the etiquettes and manners, which an individual learns from its family. It is highly important to note that all the civilized economies teach their younger ones to talk less and answer to the point, unless they are required to be detailed. However, in order to analyze the reactions of the people around me, I would be conducting this experiment in my school.

Another extremely important thing to note is that I have come across different people who tend to violate this norm, even though they are unaware that they are taking up too much time of the person who is talking to them. In addition to that, I have a few friends who adopted this behavior and after some time, people started ignoring them or hiding from them.

According to the norms, which have been set by the society, when someone asks you how your day has been, you are supposed to reply precisely. The proper response of it would be either good or bad. An individual should only give details of its entire day, when the other person has actually asked it to do so. Otherwise, it is expected to be precise and short.
