Taming of the Shrew was a famous novel written by Shakespeare that addressed the issue of marriage-authority and gender-sexuality relations. However, it is not the story that needs to be analyzed in this topic but it is the usage of metre and rhythm, prose and verse, rhyme and other sound patterns in the story needs to be explained in this topic. The feature of the first language metre is that is considered a prosody which is an accent in a metrical foot of verse. It is normally used in the communicative processes and contents. The reason why that Shakespeare used this language in his story was to properly communicate the message to the readers for their better understanding. It enabled the readers to easily comprehend the content of the literature which they studied. For instance he emphasised a lot on the women and gender sexuality relations, so it was necessary for the readers to understand the main idea behind this issue. (Davies, 1995)

Second language that he used was rhythm. Rhythm is that language which stresses at regular intervals of the story about the main issue that has been highlighted. This can be seen that Shakespeare constantly addressed various segments related to the issue of marriage and gender-sexuality relations. Shakespeare also identified the importance of this issue on practical basis as he mentioned the state of women and their marriage at that time which he thought was the best example for the story. Therefore, this is the role that rhythm language played in the evaluation of the story. (Newman, 1986)
