Introduction

The national commission of the terrorist attack on the 9th September 2011 is also known as the 9/11 commission report. This commission was a form by an independent bipartisan commission which is created under the signature of President George w bush in the late 2002 by the congressional legislation (National Commission, 2001, Pp. 1-11). It was framed to take in account every alternate circumstance surrounding the terrorist attack of the Sep 11th, 2002. Every counter attack and the responsive action were considered to deal with the attack. The commission was the vision to provide safety and precautions for any future attacks and the procedure to deal with (www.gpo.gov, 2004).

The commission was headed by the former New Jersey governor, Thomas Kean. However, the commission consisted of five democrats and five republicans. The creation of this commission was in hands of the congressional legislation. The approval of the bill was signed into law by President George W Bush (Zelikow, 2011, Pp. 345-413).

Report

The 567 pages final report was published on July 22, 2004 from the commission set for the investigation. It forces the thought that the U.S. government has failed to protect the nation, the people of America from the terrorist attack, because they did not take the threat seriously and was confident that no one is going to harm them (www.gpo.gov, 2004). Their confidence has been a failure, and the government has faced the failure of imagination, management and capabilities.

September 11, 2001 was a day of great destruction and a severe shock in the history of America. The United States was unprepared, and so was the nation.

The Destruction

It was the morning of Sep 11, 8:46 on the clock when the United States nation transformed. An airplane hit the north tower of the world trade centre and after some time, at around 9:03, another jet plane hit the south tower (Zelikow, 2011, Pp. 345-413). The twin towers, where thousands of people were present each day, collapsed in no less than 90 minutes. After half an hour, another plane hit the Pentagon, and at 10:03, the fourth airline blew in the field in Pennsylvania. Almost 3,000 people lost their lives (Atkins, 2011, Pp. 543-612).

This was a radical extremist attacks. Some Arabs, acting at the Islamic behest plot this. They were trained at some corner in the Afghanistan. With the help of the knives, cutters, black peppers, they have hijacked whole airlines and transformed them into deadly missiles (National Commission, 2001, Pp. 1-11).

The 9/11 attack was a complete shock for every American. Although, they extremist have already warned the U.S. government that they are going to kill the huge number of the Americans in a crowd. Osama Bin Laden was not only a particular threat; the Islamic terrorism grows over the decade.
