This is equivalent of International Fairtrade Certification Mark used in Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Africa. To receive Fair Trade certification, product must be produced by an organization that has been inspected by FLO-CERT, an organization that was once part of FLO International.

Fair Trade guarantees the minimum price based on consultations with fair trade producers and traders to ensure that producers always get the fair price based on market rate. Fair trade organizations also helps producers access to information on current market allows producers get the fair price, without intervention of the middle. This guarantees the fair price to support continued sustainable production.

Manufacturers of fairtrade products must be certified by relevant organization to maintain its status as fair trade. This includes maintenance of environmental standards, including protection of their natural environment, minimizing use of nonrenewable energy sources.

When we buy fair trade products, producers receive the premium above minimum price that is invested directly in community. This allows communities to improve their physical and social environment by building schools, clinics and community centers. Fair trade enables communities to take control of their own lives and not rely on charity or government.
