The Catholic religion began it shortly after the death of Christ. Everyone who believes in Christ was considered to be a Christian and it is a universal religion. Catholic in the Webster dictionary means universal. It is believed that the Apostle Peter was the rock, and Jesus Christ said that he was going to build a church in the rock in Matthew 16: 18-19. After Christ was crucified, he believed that the Apostle Peter built the church, and that Peter was the first Catholic bishop of Rome known as the Pope today. (Stauffer 2003, 78)

Why Catholic's must go to Mass

Catholics believe that Christ's sacrifice on Calvary is present at all times, not Re-sacrifice of Christ, but in the mass as the real presence of Jesus' body and blood. This is the main reason for their regular visit to the Catholic Mass. Catholic faith is one of the most powerful religions in the world. At the worship event called the mass and is held every day throughout the world. Sunday mass is required, because this Sunday on the Sabbath day. They may attend Saturday night mass, which has a Sunday mass. There are two readings from the Bible during Mass and the first one comes from the Old Testament, and the second is taken from the New Testament. In the readings are the same all over the world.
