In the area of theology, Salvation is a deliverance from suffering or danger. It can be said that people adopt it for being protected and guarded from God's wrath. The term Salvation contains the idea of preservation, health, or victory, even the Bible applies the word salvation or saved to refer physical deliverance and temporal, for instance the deliverance of Paul from prison (Philippians 1:19). Moreover, the term salvation pertain a spiritual and eternal deliverance. The Philippian jailer was told by Paul that he should do for saving himself? (Acts 16:30-31). In the theology of Christianity, sin is taken has the human problem, which does not even create problems in life but also lead to everlasting suffering in the life after death. The solution from these sins is relied on the salvation, which wakes the person to think about temporal suffering or eternal suffering. According to the belief of Christian, salvation is possibly made by the death, life and rebirth of Christ, which refers as the "atonement" under the context of salvation.

According to the study of Sixteenth Century, the theology of the Reformation is imperative to comprehend the philosophical theology of mind in medieval times by Martin Luther and the other reformers. No one should forget about the Baptist, John, who was the effective part of the Old Testament era and in the transition period of the world by the birth of Christ. Therefore, the primary reformers, especially Martin Luther, were the crucial of the world of Medieval. People should focus over the history of Medieval Church in order to better understand about the reformation of Martin Luthers, in the way to have a grip over medieval theology and thought; people should first understand about the Sixteenth Century issues of the Reformation.

Philip Schaff, the great historian wrote that the Christianity of Medieval is singly continued as legitimate and additional development of ancient Catholicism. At the contrast side, it is the development of Protestantism.
