Introduction

Today, the use of hormone replacement therapy is no longer valid. But for postmenopausal women, what are the alternatives to fight against osteoporosis is an important question. If menopause is not a disease, it causes physiological changes, however, contribute to the onset of climacteric and especially the development of osteoporosis (Liebman, 2004). As discussed earlier in the marketing plan for the introduction of new Rx drugs/ products for osteoporosis, the objective of this paper is to organize the health fair tactical elements for creating awareness about this new product in the market. This health fair will probably help us in creating the market for this new product, which is better than other products in the market.  

Discussion

Osteoporosis is a disease caused by the loss of calcium from bones. This bone loss is gradual, which gradually decreases the density and bone thickness. The person is then prone to fractures. It is a disorder that affects aging women more than men (Liebman, 2004). Awareness of the people about osteoporosis has provided the drug market with an opportunity to introduce new Rx drugs/ products for osteoporosis. The health fair for launching the new RX product for osteoporosis will result in increased awareness of osteoporosis and improve the way it handles among our county who are at risk of the disease (Medconsumers, 2009). After planning for a year and collaborative partnership with various Foundations for Osteoporosis Research & Education, The California Hispanic Osteoporosis Foundation, the UC Berkeley Center for Weight and Health, and different pharmaceuticals and consultants, the new product will conduct health fair for implementation of comprehensive intervention plan that includes social promotion, outreach, education, screening bone density, and disease management.
