Tiger

Introduction

This research paper is based on discussing on Tiger, biologically known as Panthera Tigris as the biological niche based on its unique biological characteristics, individual adaptations. This research paper will also be discussing with detail on Tiger's organism's habitat, diet, life cycle, behaviors, geographical locations, activity or mating times, nesting or other reproductive behaviors, interactions with other organisms, their impact on human institutions in terms economic and health wise. This paper will also highlight on the Tiger conservation status in the worldwide platform. (Alderton, 2009)

Discussion and Analysis

The tiger, Pantheras Tigris, is the largest feline in the world. The tiger is the King of a line of development in Asia where it originates from. While the lion also conquered other continents later, Tiger is the ever stayed animal of its species. It is found in an area between India, China, bounded by Siberia and Sumatra, Burma, Nepal, Russia, and some areas of Taiwan and Korea. Unlike the lions, the tigers inhabit the forests and jungles, which is abundant in Asian continent. Today, India is home to the wildest tigers (King Tigers). Through various conservation programs in India have reports indicating that Tigers (Pantheras Tigris) are only left in some quantitative amount (no authentic numerical data is available). Historically, a hundred years ago, there lied over one hundred thousand tigers that are living in a large area which stretches nearly the whole of Asia. Pantheras Tigris are found in the Caspian Sea in the west to the Siberian Taiga in the north and east and to the Indonesian island of Java and South Bali. Today, there are only tiger in India/Bangladesh, Siberia, Indochina, and southern China and on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. Other areas where tigers are present are special areas in Korea and Taiwan. (Stephen, 2004)

Pantheras Tigris Specie category

Science and environmental studies have distributed Pantheras Tigris into eight sub-species categories are the Bengal Tiger or King Tiger comes from India and Bangladesh, the Sumatran Tiger lives on the Indonesian island of Sumatra, the Indo-Chinese Tiger from the jungles of Burma, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, the Siberian Tiger hunt in the taiga and the South China tiger in South China, the Indo-Chinese Tiger, the Siberian Tiger and the South China Tigers are threatened with extinction. Three other tiger races, the Bali tiger, Caspian tiger and the Java tiger are already extinct. (Chris, 2003)

Here, the discussion will distinguish the behaviors of Pantheras Tigris in two separate and distinctive behaviors: The Mating Behaviors and the Hunting for Preys Behaviors of Pantheras Tigris.

The mating behavior

Pantheras Tigris biologically reproduces by mating. This mating occurs at the meeting of a male and a female Pantheras Tigris. The Tiger appraises the receptivity of the female, with the help of its nasal organ. Here, the male opens its mouth slightly and withdraw the upper lip. This part in mating is known as Flehmen. The female which is mating and ready to copulate both four to six days long, four times an hour. During the mating act, the male bites the neck of the soft posture of the ...
