Introduction

Although the first stem, cell studies dating from the 70's, the progress made in recent years have aroused the interest of the community not only science but for society in general. The ethical implications in the use of stem cells embryonic and new scientific evidence that demonstrates greater potential adult stem cells than originally expected, further rekindled debate about its possible therapeutic applications (Snow, 56). A stem cell is one that is able to divide indefinitely and differentiate into different types of specialized cells. Stem cells can be classified according to their differentiation potential totipotent cells are capable of producing embryonic tissue and extra-embryonic stem cells. They have the ability to differentiate into tissues from any of the three embryonic layers, and finally, the cells multipotent, which are able to differentiate into different cell types from the same embryonic layer.
