I wake up in my dream, start shouting and begging for mercy, pleading to let me live a life of freedom and tears start flowing from my eyes. With a jerk I woke up and realize it was a nightmare, the trial of tears is haunting me. Readers who are yet unfamiliar with this term, it's a term that is like death for people who are going through it currently, and I am one of them. Sitting in my camp right now and wondering if I shall be alive tomorrow or not is in itself a question.

The Trail of Tears is known as the movement as well as the shifting of Native Americans from Southeastern parts of the current day America. This act includes removing of numerous members of the Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw nations in the United States, from their home country to Indian land. I being a victim of this torture and even now start trembling and start feeling the pain as I think about it. I am a Cherokee who have been living here since the early beginning of the nineteen century just like the other large number of other varying tribes that are residing in United States of America. In this war of Independence I have sided with the British and now have lost a lot of people of my tribe in the war. This weakening of the position has causing us to negotiate with the new government as our position has weakened. Now settling into a new area involves reconstruction and assimilation of their societies, the necessities required etc.
