Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of “Life Transitions in Women” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “Life Transitions in Women” and its relation with “personal development”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “Life Transitions in Women” and tries to gauge its effect on “Life Transitions in Women”. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for “Life Transitions in Women” and tries to describe the overall effect of “Life Transitions in Women” on “personal development”

Introduction

Transition in life takes place in many stages. These are composed of periods of crisis a person suffers or the different events which lay a huge impact on the life overall. Women are considered to be the victims of different issues associated with their life. The purpose of this paper to consider the relationship of age of transition periods and conditions which women experience as part of growing the individual, as well as transversal rituals of initiation in the archaic traditions of the world as an opportunity to overcome the crisis.

Stages of life

There are different points of view on the issues mentioned above. For most people, there is the traditional division of life at age stages childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age. On each of these stages nature and society imposes certain conditions on person according to his capabilities are certain requirements, characteristic for this age group.

In any woman's life, like any human being, we can trace the four age periods. These periods are closely linked to physiological changes, the process of growth and maturation of women, the possibility of conception, pregnancy and child birth and the termination of its fertility (Hawley, 1994). Considering the different stages of life we are considering the issues associated with the symptoms which create the fall of fertility, early menopause women, the growth of gynecological diseases, reducing the traditional values of marriage.

Four age periods in a woman's life are: childhood, girl, woman, old age.

Each of these ages has its own physiological and psychological characteristics.

Childhood

Girl or during childhood. In physiological terms, it can indicate the time of life that begins at birth (in some traditions of the receipt of the name) and continues until the onset of menstruation. The average menstrual cycle is established between the ages of 10/11 to 15 - 16 years (McClusky, 2001). The psychological characteristics of this age can be attributed relationship with the mother, custody of their parents, dependent on them, the lack of rights and responsibility for acts committed as a member of society.

Girl

A girl or young stage the age at puberty a woman's life, which begins at the onset of menstruation and ends with the moment of its first communication to man.
