Transportation and Technology

Vehicles transport people and goods from one place to another. They are among the most powerful energy consumers. Most forms of transport (cars, buses, planes, trains) feed operate on fossil combustion products (oil, gas), and some - electricity (trolleys, buses, trams, trains). Engineers seem to be concerned over the balance of the cost of production and compliance with environmental requirements. A number of studies been made to solve the following issues. Organization and design of transport systems, processes and technology, transport, optimization of processes and systems, research in the development of systems, processes and technologies. Studies of logistics and transport technology explore the area of modeling of transport processes, organization and management, operations research, information systems in transport, technology, work load and transport infrastructure (Harder, Benke, et.al, Pp.3-75).

Purpose

The purpose of this paper is to increase the effectiveness of transportation service providers with cutting edge technologies through exploring the opportunities.

Technological Opportunities

There are a number of technologies that been invented by scientists and researchers after tremendous studies and experiments. These technologies serve as an opportunity for transport service providers to utilize them in order to save time and cost.

Fuel-Saving

The major costs for transport service providers are the fuel and salary costs for running a transport service. As transport of people and cargo done through vehicles, (cars and trucks/trolleys), trains (cargo and passenger), airplanes (cargo and passenger) and ships (cargo/freight vessels and tour/voyage ships), and all of these means of transport require humans to operate them and fuel to run them. Mostly all of these means of transport use fossil fuels to run their engines. Transport service providers have the opportunity to use latest technological methods. In order to, cut down their major cost of fuel, so as to maximize their revenues. Scientists have designed equipments and devices that optimize fuel consumption and give maximum efficiency. The basis of this equipment is a fuel cell fuel economy "Water Fuel Cell" that extracts hydrogen gas (snaps, Brown's gas, H2O) from water directly under the hood of the car as necessary. The resulting gas is five times more energy intensive than gasoline (because of what there is fuel economy) and used to intensify the process of combustion in the engine. The fuel-saving device alters the structure, and activates the fuel for complete combustion in the engine and increase fuel economy (gasoline). The optimizer changes the fuel mixture ratio fuel\air, reducing the supply of fuel, increasing the supply of gas, due to what happens and save gasoline and diesel fuel. To improve the ignition, the design of the device sets spark plugs with the effect of the flare, which also provide a tangible effect on fuel economy. A special composition for metal which minimizes friction losses, thereby creates fuel savings, restores and protects parts from wear. All these factors greatly affect fuel economy.
