There are diverse kinds of tariffs:

A publicity valorem tariff is a set percentage of the worth of the good that is being imported. Sometimes these are awkward, as when the worldwide cost of a good falls, so does the tariff and household commerce become more susceptible to competition. Conversely, when the cost of good increases on the worldwide market so does the tariff, but a homeland is often less involved in defense when the cost is high.
