Introduction

Afghanistan has been at war since the U.S. invasion in 2001. Before that, the country had known only a scant five years of stability, preceded by fifteen years of war. Altogether, that means Afghanistan has been the scene of conflict, with only brief respites, for around three decades. This paper identifies goals and strategies used by America and evaluates them whether the U.S.A war against Afghanistan achieved their goals using military means.
