Veil of Ignorance

Rawls hails from the tradition of social contract. He developed principles of justice by making use of an artificial which he called the 'Original position', that allowed everyone to decide on the principles of justice while being behind a veil of ignorance. He stated that the veil is what hides facts from the people about themselves which results in making them doubtful about the true notion of justice.
