Introduction

Background

Micheal Morpurgo is an English author, play writer and liberties. He is famous in children literature, and done immense worked for children literature. He has written more than 100 books for children literature. “War Horse” play wrote by award winning author Micheal Morpurgo. This novel adapted by Nick Stafford. The story of “War Horse” play is based on the journey of war horse, which is beginning to the village Iddesleigh in Devon and related the First World War. The story of War Horse centers on Albert, an English farm boy, and his beloved horse Joey. The action opens in August of 1912 in rural Devon, England, and continues in France during World War I. After Albert's father sells Joey to the Army during the war, Albert enlists, vowing to bring Joey home. In the novel, this story is presented from Joey's point of view, but the horses in the play do not speak and not anthropomorphized in any way (Morpurgo, 2011). This play has presented in theatre in several times in the form of performing art. In 2007 “New London Theatre” represented in the theatre with the collaboration of Handspring Puppet Company (London Theatre.sbc.edu, 2009). New London presented this play with the collaboration of Handspring Puppet Company. It got tremendous successes.

Albert Narracott was a young boy, who lived in Devan, England with his parents, and he had a horse from many years. He loved very much his horse. His father was a drunker man and worked in a farm that he rents from an overbearing jerk of a landlord. His family was poor. At the time of out broke of First World War, his father sold his beloved horse “Joey “to cavalry for the purpose of battle field in World War I, But Albert did not forget his horse. During World War I, much causality was occurred. Many horses were died, and the rest of them were shifted. Joey was shifted to France and the captured to the side of German. Joey was wounded in war and he transferred into veteran hospital for treatment. Albert did not forget his horse and he decided to find Joey when he will cross the age of 16 years. After few years, heard about Joey he reached the veterinary Hospital, and met with his beloved horse (Morpurgo, 2011).
