Methodological Framework for the Research Work

The formulation of this research work involved a detailed literature analysis and review of a number of printed sources, journals and articles. The text to follow aims to summarize the details of the analysis hence done and also aims to bring into focus the ideas that were incorporated and the reason for this incorporation. To address the problems related to retrieval of appropriate and relevant information, a more potent Web-based document retrieval system has been proposed to replace data retrieval system. Both models have several different attributes which makes the former system more appropriate as shown in (Baumgartner et al, 2005). Different types of search engines have been developed and they are viewed as Web-based Information Retrieval (IR) systems (Crubezy, 2003,, 321).

The various available methods of research are Descriptive, Analytical, Conceptual, Empirical and quantitative analysis. Firstly, all these approaches will be described and then the research approach followed for this paper will be focussed upon. The descriptive analysis is based on facts and surveys which help in justifying solution to the stated problems. In case of Analytical Analysis, models and figures are used for analysis. Conceptual research is based on theories and hypothesis. And, quantitative analysis involves the formulation of a hypothesis from which results are derived while qualitative analysis involves the review of literature like Journals and Articles related to the subject.

The approach adopted for analysis would be qualitative data methodology technique in which different theories and literature would be studied to make justified conclusions. Observations based upon field research and mass observations should be used so that on time results would be gathered through it. The deductive reasoning would be used to make research work more appropriate and authentic. The sources of data include websites, online journals, annual reports and research papers as analysis would purely on basis of qualitative approach.

The Research Process

The first step of any research is to identify a subject area of research and design a clear objective within it to do further study on that particular research. Secondly, after getting secondary data from different sources on a similar subject has to be critically reviewed. To carry out proper research an ideal person has to be defined, out of which, a sample has to be dispatched for survey by different sources.  However, to make the research more authentic, quantitative research has to be carried out in the form of descriptive questionnaire. Lastly, before completing the report, the qualitative data thus collected has to be analysed properly and then drive final conclusion (Mike, 1996,, 45).

Research Approach

The approach adopted for the analysis of the data obtained for carrying out this study was qualitative technique, in which different theories and literature were studied in depth to make justified conclusions. Observations based upon field research and mass observations were also used so that on time results would be gathered through it. The deductive reasoning was used to make research work more appropriate and ...
