What Makes a Good President?

Each election year, the people of the United States of America are faced with the difficult decision of choosing the next President. Sometimes the selection is obvious. Other times it seems like there's no good option, and it comes down to selecting the lesser of two or more evils. Whatever the case may be, Americans as a group who patriotically believes in the core principles and values, on which this nation was founded, generally look for particular core characteristics for what makes a good president. These characteristics are described here.

Many historians tend to argue which of the United States presidents was truly the greatest. A recent poll helped determine which presidents were truly great and which presidents were truly failuars, they judged the presidents with just standards as leadership qualities, accomplishments, crisis, management, political skills, and integrity. Abraham Lincoln received one of the highest makes as a very important president. I also strongly agree with Abraham Lincoln being marked as a great president. Abraham Lincoln was president during a time of war, the Civil War. The American Civil War split the nation if half north and south, free states against slave states, no other American president had to go though a time when the nation was split apart in war. Lincoln showed his excellent leadership qualities by abolishing slavery and uniting the north with south. At the battle of Gettysburg, Lincoln made one of the most famous speeches in history when he announced "that this nation under god, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that the government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth."Throughout society, there are people who fit into the role of leadership with ease. Whether it's a corporate executive, a university President, or a Wall Street financial expert, these leaders are recognized by their ability to jump to the occasion, their flexibility and adaptability to overcome any obstacle, and their ability to encourage others to follow them. Finally, a good leader has the courage to stand up and make decisions without flinching, and then lead the way in that direction without hesitation. These are the traits that make a person a born leader.
