This research proposal is based on the topic “Willingness to use internet”. This study describes the Non-native English teachers and students' attitudes, familiarity and willingness to use the Internet in middle schools. Although this work focuses mainly on the willingness of internet use but existing usage of internet in middle school have been examined as well. The study comprises the following sections:
Chapter 1 is an introductory chapter presenting the main goals of this study, research questions and significance of the study.
Chapter 2 is a review of the previous work in the study area.
Chapter 3 presents an overview of research methodology chosen for this study. Research design, the data collection method, samples, sampling method, research instrument, and the ethical concerns are presented in this chapter.
Chapter 4 has been allocated for presenting the analysis and findings of the study. It gives a brief discussion of the findings in order to support the review of literature.
Chapter 5 presents a summary of the main findings and achievements of this work. Suggestions for further work on this study are given as well.
Background of the study
Internet can be considered as the first thing that humanity has built that humanity doesn't understand, the largest experiment in anarchy that we have ever had. These are the words of Eric Schmidt. Internet is something that has revolutionized our life completely. Today, we are living in a world that is altogether computerized and technically updated and where everyone is tech-savvy. In this technologically modernized and advanced world, internet has immense importance. In the long and continuous journey of invention in the field of technology internet can be considered as the most remarkable and spectacular invention. The development and access to the internet in recent times has grown tremendously and broaden the horizons in which internet can be used. The impact of this invention is also in the education industry. Internet can cause both positive as well as negative impacts on the academic study.
Students during their academic life make a frequent use of internet to support their studies and various activities that they undertake during their academic lives.
Write any single topic on Google and one will get unlimited results about that topic. So, this is clear and accepted that internet possesses a mammoth amount of data. No matter to which field the student belong to one can find information and data about each and every field. From finance to fashion, from sociology to science, from law to music, from technology to psychology there is not even a single filed about which one cannot find any information on internet. Online libraries of different universities have further added a new and managed dimension regarding the availability of the information.
