Women of color bear a double burden of prejudice and discrimination

Introduction

By definition, Women of Color may be defined as the women having the skin pigment color other than white. We often do and see people discriminate and show prejudice against different people and more specifically against women. Discriminating with women and showing discrimination among women based on their appearance is common. When we talk about the appearance of the women, the most basic thing is considered to be skin pigment (Skin Color).

Discussion

Women in the hemisphere have long been victims of discrimination and constant violations of their rights. In the XXI century, attacks on the industry are maintained permanently and quietly, without the State gives sufficient guarantees to develop in a society. Being a woman today is not easy. These days women are facing a number of problems and racial discrimination among all Latin American societies. Being indigenous, being black and the lower social strata are reasons to be excluded, to be stigmatized and violated their human rights.

For example: We know that African who are mainly have black skin pigment were smuggled across the world and used as forced slaves, The concept of African slaves also drives from the historical perception that skin pigment other than white is inferior.

The Society Level of maturity

The other reason is that the society still backs on the historical concepts of right and wrong, and other concepts. The society across the world is resistant to change. In my point of view, the society still encourages discrimination ...
