Introduction

Women have played very significant roles in the history of human beings. These roles also cover the wars that are the blood-spattered spots in the history. Many women played vital roles in the Civil war which includes the spies, nurses, soldiers, civil rights advocates, abolitionists and the promoters of women's suffrage.

In the years before the civil war, strong connections between the women's rights advocates and antislavery. Almost all the women's rights advocates supported the abolition however all the abolitionists not supported the women's rights. Some of the people thought that it was unsuitable for the women to get occupied in the political or public actions or activities (Hoffberger, 2012). These differences among the abolitionists discouraged the work of the people who griped liberation for both the women and slaves.

Abolition is used as a single term and was a movement to finish the slavery that was formal or informal. This term of abolition is accepted by the seekers if abolishment of any distinguished prejudice to specific people.

There are various abolition movements developed that are in attempt to end the slave trafficking, human trafficking and many others. In the history of the United States, abolitionism is a historical movement for the ending of the African slave trade and for setting the slaves free.

Before the Civil war, the people who disputed for the broader role for the women were commonly known as Women's rights advocates. The rights of women to vote was also included in their objectives however their plan was much wider than a specific problem or issue.
