Introduction

World health Organization has reported that prostitution of females and males has been increasing significantly throughout the world. The crisis is particularly heightened in the lower socioeconomic sectors of the population consisting of youngster runaways, addicted to drugs and abuse victims. This research focuses on the negative behavior that is adopted by youngsters which later turned in to the occupation as prostitution. In this century, this prostitution has been developed in to males, as well. Moreover, this paper also utter about the method and techniques to remove this negative behavior of the youth. Additionally, various sub-cultures that are related to street walkers, call girls and boys and prevalence of victimization, crime and drugs. It also includes the feature and other element of the sex trade industry that is involved in pornography, male and female prostitutes, customers, laws, and the effects of decriminalization and legalization.

Youth Prostitution

More than 300,000 youngsters are involved in prostitution, in United States. These youngsters come from all ethnic background. The data, which came across indicates that both girls and boys involve in prostitution. Research signifies that these teenagers, more than girls, boys engage for their survival in to sex occupation or selling of sex in order to meet their subsistence needs. However, both girls and boys sell sex at almost equivalent rates. Today, prostitution has been shifted from the street to the internet and other off-street locations. Youth prostitution, especially boys refuse to labeled them as prostitute, rather they refer themselves as “hustler” which is superior agency than be a part of seller (Jennifer, Pp. 5).

As far as girls are concerns, they are overrepresented; they are connected with the gang economy and contribute to it through bringing income or through the service provided to males. Along with girls, gay, lesbian and bisexual are also termed as over-representation. Boys identification not termed as gay, but they do serve mature males consumers. Majority of the youngsters gets involve in prostitution activities for fulfillment of their household needs. The other reason can be to earn extra cash. Youngster engages in survival of sex or prostitution, this activity also results in exchange of desperation of hungry, cold or destitute or to the essential life necessities. Nevertheless, there are possibilities of young people especially in school, when they give something and want something in turn. Researchers have shown the exchange of different things like CDs, Video games, jewelry or drugs for intercourse. Evidence for this has been less but fairly characterized as desperation.

They maintain longer run relationships with adults for the privilege provided by these adults such as food, clothes and money (McGinn, Pp. 35). Mainly teenager maintains their trade as relationship or hustler or prostitution due to the presence of love, caretaker, or support in doing something adventurous.
