A critical essay on an Italian cinema

"Life Is Beautiful"

Introduction

Life is beautiful; a movie by Roberto Benigni is one of those rare movies that got to make their way towards the Oscar. When for the first time I heard about this movie I was pretty much shocked as the concept of comedy with holocaust and comedy both in the same movie didn't pretty much get in to my mind. There have been a number of articles published in favor and against the movie. There are a number of people who found the concept of comedy in holocaust to be offensive. The rest of the people who were in the favor of the movie, watched it as a movie of creativity and loved it. When I talk about myself, I would even say that this movie was presented in an absolutely amazing manner. Where to opposite subjects were very well interlinked and presented.

Main Body

People think that the movie was introduced as a fable, there are 2 major events that have been discussed in the movie, and firstly when a boy meets girls and falls in love with her, secondly the father son tragicomedy. The writer of this play, benigni has played the overall role in the movie; he has played the role of writer, actor and director. The reason why he has done this so is because he was a perfectionist and he wanted to do things on his own and thought he was a better it for all. The content as mentioned above was pretty much annoying for a number of people who could not grasp the concept of comedy and holocaust, but at the same time, people who analyzed it closely and had understood the content enjoyed it to a great extent.

It was during their son's birthday when Dora's mother accepted the marriage of Dora and his lover after quite some time. Although it wasn't very easy for her to accept the marriage as Guido belonged to a working class Jew family, and Dora family was part of the upper class. During the birthday celebration, the events took place, one when Dora's mother accepted the marriage, the 2nd event that took place was that Dora went to pick her grandmother up for the birthday celebration and during this time Guido and his uncle were picked up by the Nazi's. In order to ease things, Dora presents herself to the Nazi's and is taken far away from her family. After the family was picked up byte Nazi's things didn't really work out for them. For a family who is spending a normal ...
