A Personal Philosophy of Pastoral Ministry

Introduction

In the gracious sovereignty of God, He chooses the believers who reconcile to Himself all the way through Christ. In the marvelous plan of God, He has made commitments with those people by the ministry of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:18). As, such ministry of conciliation is based upon the words of God regarding reconciliation. The main function and office of the pastor has a vital role in this ministry as he claims the obscurity of godliness. The functions of god have a intimate relationship with the place of worship, i.e., the church which is the support and pillar of the truth (1 Tim. 3:15-16). The privilege and duty of pastoral ministry has some apparent outcomes of the development of Pastoral Theology's discipline with in a wider frame work of theology from the practical perspective. It has also created individual's longer processions especially for those who have filled up the pages of the history of church in response to the call of God and to be sincere and devoted ministers and pastors of the truth. Unfortunately, some cultures and traditions are currently not measuring up to the biblical standards of scrutiny and have skewed and embellished a lot much what has been known as ministry.

There was the judgments and discrimination of associations between the corporate charism and the charism of a foundress or founder of the group which was developed in the very old times for wakening up the inspirations and hopes as well as the association ship of both of such presents to the charism of every actual member individually.

The mind sets of plethora and several other conflicting traditions are emerged by a study of pastoral ministry from the historical perspectives. As, all such traditions proclaim a going back lineage to the age of apostolic (Eugene, p. 58). In each generation, some people have found some ways for returning back to the basic principles of the primitive ministry of Bible. This search of the primitivism or the 'true church' has led others to speak about the conceptions of the 'Church of Believers'. In the early on history of church, Christians were well known ...
