William Faulkner was a storyteller and a poet of U.S. His real name was Falkner; he changed his name for commercial reasons. In his works, one can find the psychological drama and emotional depth. His influence is evident in the generation of South American writers of the second half of the twentieth century (Malcolm, pp. 16).
Kate Chopin was born in St. Louis (Missouri) on 8 February 1851 and died in St. Louis on 22 August 1904. She was a writer. She has written many stories and novels. Her stories and novels are known for their themes that are tinged with Creole culture. Her work is best known for being a harbinger of the feminist writers of the twentieth century. In the late 1890s, Kate wrote many short stories, articles and translations of the works of Alphonse Daudet and Guy de Maupassant published in magazines, including the St. Louis Dispatch (Nancy, pp. 3).
About the Stories
