Introduction

Daniel Pink's latest book “A whole new mind” is based on the six senses and attempts to speculate the future of global businesses worldwide and how it tends to belong to the right brainers. According to Dan Pink, the right brained or the right brain directed individuals such as communicators and connectors are the ones who are likely to succeed in the future as compared to the number crunchers that were once regarded highly by Drucker and termed as the knowledge workers. Within this book, Daniel Pink coerces his thesis which tends to argue that the tasks in which the individuals who think logically and analytically generally tend to excel and are the same ones that usually end up automated outsourced or off shored. Moreover, Daniel Pink further argues that in comparison the people who tend to possess a critical “six senses,” design, story, symphony, empathy, play and meaning, can actually expect greater success in today's revolutionized modern American economy. In his book, Dan Pink further offers a number of suggestions on how the L-directed individuals amongst us can actually expand their skills in the above mentioned areas, thus in turn improving their overall ability to contribute in this dynamic and vastly changing economy. This research paper embarks upon the six essential senses that have been outlined in Daniel Pink's latest book, “A whole new mind.” The paper involves a careful and through understanding and interpretation of Pink's work and further involves a rigorous self analysis of those senses that I myself possess and what sequence of events led me to develop these senses followed by what other senses do I need to work on in order to survive in today's cut throat American Economy.

The second part of the research also delves into a self analysis process depicting the key senses that are extremely critical to me, not only in terms of affectively studying but also which is the key player boosting my career choice hence ensuring my success in the dynamic and the vastly changing environment that is prevalent within the American Economy.
