Disparities:

Disparities as “racial or ethnic differences in the quality of healthcare that are not due to access-related factors or clinical needs, preferences, and appropriateness of intervention” (King et al., 2008, p. 242).

Immunizations:

Immunization is defined as a process which fortifies immune system of an individual against an agent called Immunogen. An immune response is orchestrated when such immune system is exposed to foreign body molecules. Due to immunological memory, immune system develops the ability to take a quick response to a subsequent encounter. Adaptive immune system functions similarly. T cells and B cells are the important elements of immune system that are produced as a result of this immunization (Immunizations & Infectious Diseases: An Informed Parent's Guide, 2006).

Bypass grafting:

Bypass grafting has been defined as a surgical process which purposes to redirect blood flow around the blockage area. For blood flow, an alternate channel is developed through this surgical procedure bypassing the blocked vessels. Peripheral vascular diseases are treated through the procedure of Bypass grafting (Michigan Multimedia, Medical School Information Services, 2010).

Institute of Medicine (IOM):

Institute of Medicine (IOM) is totally a non-profitable and independent organization was developed in 1970 to provide authoritative and unbiased advice to the decision makers and the public. This institute has been the health arm of National Academy of Sciences. This institution helps the public sectors and government organizations in making informed health decisions. This is done by provision of the reliable evidences. Many individuals that are thousands in numbers work voluntarily under IOM every year for advancing the nation's health by spending their knowledge, expertise and time (Institute of medicine of the national academies, 2012).

Dementia:

Dementia (is the progressive loss of cognitive function due to damage or brain disorders. Typically, this causes cognitive impairment, inability to perform activities of daily living. Cognitive deficits can affect anyone of brain functions particularly the areas of memory, language (aphasia), the care, skill Visio constructive, the praxis and executive functions such as problem solving or inhibition of responses. The concept of dementia relates only to the mental sphere and does not set itself any disease entity. There are many factors that can damage the brain and lead to a decline in mental ability. The weakening of this performance may have a different nature and severity (Gordeau, 2005, pp. 12).
