Introduction

Social care includes care of the society of citizens that are in need of help, the provision of assistance related to health, age, lack of livelihoods, and social status. Social assistance and social care in manifested in various forms. Social protection and social security is given by means of allowances, pensions, child care, maintenance of the elderly and the sick, and material assistance. Social insurance is a guaranteed commercial security system. Within a country, several organizations and institutions regulate social work in the society and in home. The British Association of Social Workers in the United Kingdom is very successful in its social work. The goal of the profession of social care is to promote the cause of social justice and establish better living conditions. Social care supports various means to provide welfare and prosperity in the community as a whole and to individuals and families within it. Other broad social issues are also dealt by social care professionals. These issues are resolved with due solutions for the assistance of the whole society. Social work professionals also contribute in raising the economic situation of the whole society, particularly that of the sick and the poor. Social work has a lengthy historical background in the promotion and progress of the community and the struggle against poverty and the problems that ensue. Consequently, social work is connected to a great extent with the idea of charity works. Within UK, the implementation of best practice based on social care and policy and legislation for community-based service of health, social care and mental illnesses, are becoming widespread.
