Introduction

There are some behaviors found in the individuals which are deemed to be differing from the normal behaviors acknowledged by the culture. Such behaviors are also known as “Culturally Abnormal Behaviors”. The people having such challenging behaviors might also cause physical harm to the people surrounding them. Such behaviors can been seen in any individual in the society, however, most commonly it is found among the people suffering from psychosis, dementia, and developmental disabilities. Among the age groups, it is mostly found in the children.

Inappropriate sexual behaviors include the actions such as public masturbation or groping. People involve in stereotyped behaviors act as echolalia or repetitive rocking. People having behaviors directed at the property tend to steal the property of people surrounding them.

Part 1 - Program Plan

The intervention program is designed to facilitate the individuals in countering with their aggressive behaviors. The plan is divided into eleven steps which include:

Setting Aims and Objectives

Identification of Needs

While implementing the program for the intervention of people having aggressive behavior, the first and foremost thing is to determine the needs of those individuals. For this purpose, several tools were used to determine the causes of the aggressive behavior among those individuals. Ten people were being selected for the initial program, which were to be provided the treatment. The tools included observations of the behavior of individuals, arranging one-to-one discussion with each of the individual, and also conducting a focus group among the individuals selected for the therapy.

Initially, before calling the individuals to the set up, their behavior will be personally being observed in their home environment and also in the community. They will not be told about the fact that they are being monitored. This will help us identify the causes which create aggressive behavior among those individuals (Dahlberg, et.al, 2005). Then, one-on-one discussions will be conducted, which will be based on some simple and few weird questions. Weird questions will be utilized in a way to exploit that which is the things and discussions that lead them in such an aggressive behavior. After getting to know about the causes of aggressive behavior among all the individuals, finally a focus group will be conducted. Focus group will be used so as to let each individual know about the story of the other. This will also help in developing a bond among those individuals.
