Executive summary

Today the world is facing severe and really dangerous issues related to the earth and the environmental pollution. One of the most common and most dangerous pollution is the air pollution; it negatively affects the life of the human beings, animals, plants and the atmosphere in which these habitant's live. The ecosystem is also affected by the air pollution. When the ecosystem is disturbed the factor of the global warming also raised which changes the climate of the earth. This paper will discuss the air pollution as a threat to the life of the organism living on the earth and to the ecosystem, the root causes of the air pollution, the possible consequences that the world can face if this problem is not addressed and this paper also purposed some solutions to overcome the air pollution. Moreover this paper also relates the Saint Leo core values of Respect and Responsible Stewardship to the air pollution issue.

Threat to the Environment

Air pollution is caused by the chemical change in the environment. Air pollution cause many diseases, many human beings and animals get sick due to air pollution, it has disastrous effect not only on the health of the human being but also on the environment of the human beings. It negatively affects the atmosphere and natural environment. The ecosystem is also affected by the air pollution because when the industry is set in any area the plants and animals life also disturbs (Jacobson, 2009).

Root Cause of the Problem

One of the major causes of air pollution in US is the industrialization, with the increase of the industrialization the amount of harmful omission of the chemicals increases which causes air pollution.
