Introduction

There are many critics of the of the brilliance of the United States Constitution. They are of the view that the constitution has become outdated and thus cannot cope effectively with the issues and developments in modern time. Due to this obsoleteness, they further argue, the constitution is, in principle terms, unfit to govern the modern American nation in the 21st century and that the founding principles of America have lost their relevance and importance.
